A Warm Welcome to My Web Site.
The original idea for this web site was to keep an online
reference of various short walks that I have completed, which
for the most part, are based around the local trig points, in
and around East Lancashire and West Yorkshire, and also within the
locality to my East Lancashire home town of Burnley.
For the walks that have I completed, I have uploaded a series of text based guides which, can be freely downloaded. The walks are generally between 5 -15 miles in length. With each guide there will be a detailed text description, and also a Memory Map overlay file available for download. These can be download and transferred to various GPS units, and will give an accurate guide to the walk involved.
In the download section you will find various files to download, all are in a .zip format, and will include two .pdf files of the walk, a full text based guide and a map page. Also as I previously stated, there will be a Memory Map .mmo file, which can be used in conjunction with a registered version of Memory Map.
Feel free, and at your own risk, use any of the information that I have provided on my web site, and should you attempt any of the walks I have listed, have a very enjoyable and safe journey.
